Abou Diaby Signs New Long Term Contract With Aresnal
”French Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby has signed a new long term contract with the gunners it was confirmed today.
Abou has enjoyed his best season so far with the club, and has become a key part in Wenger’s plans for the future. Diaby moved to London in 2006 as part of a £2million deal.
He suffered a minor set back in his first season in England after a horrific ankle injury that almost cost him his career, but Abou is a fighter and has bounced back with fire and conviction, and this new deal has showed he is certainly not ready to quit.
Abou spoke about the deal and said this:
“This shows my long-term commitment to Arsenal and I am very happy here, which is why I am so pleased to extend my contract,” said Diaby. It’s a great thing for me and hopefully there will be some good years ahead for me here.”
Wenger added:
“Abou is a great player with huge presence on the football pitch and he has the potential to be an extremely influential part of Arsenal for many years to come.”
I think Abou is a brilliant midfielder but I don’t believe he has reached his full potential, but hopefully with more guidance from Wenger he will show us all what he is made of, and let’s hope he stays away from broken limbs!
What do you think, is Arsenal the right choice for Abou?”
