Craig Levein Is New Scotland Boss
”Craig Levein signed a 2 year contract to manage the Scottish team it was announced today, after his departure from Dundee.
It was confirmed the 45 year old finalised the deal with the Scottish Football Association after they sacked Burley after a humiliating season, and the complete cock up of a world cup qualifier which saw wales slam them in a 3-0 defeat.
According to Levein one of his first jobs to do will be to pick his squad for the up and coming match against the Czech Republic in March, it does also look likely he will re call Barry Ferguson and Allan Mcgregor.
His departure from Dundee has not gone un noticed, and many feel dissapointed he has left, including Stephen Thompson who said:
“It is with great regret and disappointment that I confirm Craig Levein is leaving Dundee United,” he told the club’s official website.
He did a fantastic job of transforming Dundee and will be sadly missed, but lets hope he can turn Scotland upside down and give the club some new life.
Do you think Craig is up to the job? will he be able to stamp his authority and give the club some much needed care? Let us know your thoughts.
