Maturity Is Beyond Age

After a girl gets passed the looks of a guy, she always has one thing on her mind: Is this guy mature enough for me? They know that they want their man to be mature, but what does being mature really mean? Is it being responsible, independent, serious, and understanding? No, it’s not. It’s all of that and more. Or, in simpler terms, it is doing or saying the appropriate thing at the appropriate time. A man who is mature can feel free to be serious, funny, sad, amused to the point of childish innocence, and much more. The only thing is, he must do each of those things at the appropriate time.

 

When IS the Appropriate Time?

This is where many men get stumped. How do you know when you should be serious or funny or quiet or loud? Now, here, you will require a little bit of your own logic to come into play. Take a look around. If the woman seems bored, entertain her with humour. If she looks interested in a certain subject, direct the conversation further onto that topic. If she is being playful and comical, feel free to poke fun and have a great time. Basically, be smooth and outgoing. Mature men are able to understand when it is their time to shine and show off their position, but also know when they should sit back and hear what others have to say. Being the Alpha male or in this case, a confident, mature, and independent man doesn’t mean that you must always be the one to be speaking or entertaining. It simply means that everyone acknowledges your presence and listen carefully when you in fact do decide to speak.

Use Your Brain

Logic is a big part of being mature. You should use your logic to see what is appropriate and what is inappropriate at any given time, and depending on what you say or do, you should assess people’s reactions. Overtime, you will learn a lot from watching for people’s reactions to what you say or do. And overtime, you will get so good at feeling out what is appropriate that you will not require to put excessive thought prior to your actions, and that your maturity will come out naturally.

So when a girl makes reference that she wants a mature man, remember that it’s alright to act hot-tempered, funny, embarrassed, serious, and even silly, but just make sure that you are doing it at the appropriate time. It is those who do not know when to say or act a certain way that tend to be looked at as foolish even though they may mean well.
